Man has always used religion as personal and monetary gain. Also, to deceive others to get them to bend to their will so they can exploit them. Like politicians who expect a particular demographic to reelect them every other November as they continue exploiting this demographic, religion is also being used by insincere and corrupt individuals within every group to exploit people. Meanwhile, there are very sincere individuals who practice what they preach to others. I'm talking about truly good people who live by the tenets of their particular faith, and really are interested in saving others as well as themselves. My pastor is one such person who will do anything she can to help others, and she does it willingly from her heart. It's not an act. Her faith and goodness is reality for her.
In my independent research of many works, I've discovered a few gems that I'd like to share. I've read quite a few works by ancient historians such as Josephus and others who have made references to the man known in history as Jesus of Nazareth or the Christ. Let me start by saying the letter J is fairly new in the English language. It did not originate until the 1800s. In the original King James 1611 edition, Iesus (I-E-S-U-S; Ἰησοῦς) was the name used in the New Testament. The name Jesus was not spelled J-E-S-U-S during the First Century. Jesus is a transliteration of the Greek name Iseous or Isous, which came from the Hebrew "Jehoshua/Yehoshua/Joshua." Yehoshua/Joshua means the Lord is salvation. The New Testament was written in Koine Greek, which was a language known to the Hebrew Israelites during the time of Christ, which is another Greek term. Christ is the same as Christos/Chrestus/Christus, which means the anointed.
Recently, I've watched a few of Jordan Maxwell's lectures on extraterrestrials, religious studies, and occult knowledge. I was able to separate what I've researched over the years from some of his scholarship that I did not agree with.
According to Jordan Maxwell, who is an esoteric researcher and historian, Jesus was a fictional character. He stated that the New Testament story of Jesus is not historical but only a work of metaphors. But I'm going to prove that the historical Jesus the Christos (i.e., Χριστός) was here.
The Greek name Iesous/Isous was very common in the ancient world. There was another Iesous before the historical Jesus. A young Hebrew man named Joshua had written about his grandfather also named Joshua Sirach. Iseous is the Greek transliteration for Joshua. The Greek translation of Joshua's work was titled the Book of Ecclesiasticus also called Sirach. It was known as the Wisdom of Jesus. This work was written in Koine Greek around 132 BCE. Koine Greek was the only language many Hebrew Israelites spoke, as many did not know how to write in their own native language. Koine Greek was the official language much like English is the official language used throughout North America and Canada. I don't know the language of my ancestors who were captured, enslaved, and brought to a strange land. Many born a century and more after the Greek occupation of ancient Palestine didn't know their own native language either.
In 332 BCE, Alexander entered Jerusalem and the Greeks occupied this land for hundreds of years until the Romans conquered them and occupied ancient Palestine. The Hebrew Israelites were a dark-skinned people during the time of Alexander as well as the Caesars such as Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, and Nero who ordered a persecution of Christians after he blamed them for the fire that destroyed Rome. The Hebrews were still dark-skinned people during the time of the Flavians such as Vespasian and Titus. Josephus who had fought against the Romans in the First Roman-Judean war (66 to 73 A.D.) was spared by Vespasian. It was Josephus who wrote the War of the Jews that contained a passage concerning Jesus. Jesus' Hebrew name would've been the equivalent of the name Joshua today. Yeshua was the Arabic spelling for that name. Also, Yesha would've been another spelling. Yesha means save.
In the War of the Jews, Josephus described Jesus as having dark skin, three cubits tall, hunchbacked, eyebrows that met above his nose, scanty hair, with a part in the middle of his head after the fashion of the Nazarenes.
According to Josephus, Titus and the Roman legions entered Jerusalem and burned the Temple in 70 AD. The Arch of Titus still exist today showing his victory against the Judean rebel armies, as they carried away the spoils of war to Rome. This means they carried away two important relics from the Temple in Jerusalem, which were the Menorah and the Table of Showbread. You can clearly see these relics permanently displayed on the Arch of Titus in Rome today. To the Hebrews, these were holy relics connected to the worship of the Most High. The Romans also carried away prisoners to Rome. They slaughtered many inhabitants within Jerusalem. They enslaved countless others. They made many of them gladiators where they met their demise.
When people talk about the Bible, particularly the New Testament being full of fairy tales and myths, I will always refer them to ancient sources. Josephus was not the only non-Christian source who confirmed the existence of a man who was executed because Hebrew religious rulers like the Pharisees and Sadducees accused Christ of performing magic tricks and calling himself a king. They also accused Jesus of inciting the people to violence against the Romans. Hebrew religious leaders took the Christ before Roman rulers and also before Herod Agrippa who was an Idumean king ruling Palestine during the time of Christ's execution. Herod like his father also named Herod was set up by the Romans as puppet rulers. If Jesus is a myth, then so is Augustus, Tiberius, Caligula, Claudius, Nero, Vespasian, Titus, Domitian and all other Roman rulers. If Christ wasn't real, then Herod and his children didn't exist either.
A Roman historian named Tacitus also wrote concerning Christ's execution by orders of the Roman governor, Pontius Pilate. He wrote, "Consequently, to get rid of the report, Nero fastened the guilt and inflicted the most exquisite tortures on a class hated for their abominations, called Christians by the populace. Christus, from whom the name had its origin, suffered the extreme penalty during the reign of Tiberius at the hands of one of our procurators, Pontius Pilatus, and a most mischievous superstition, thus checked for the moment, again broke out not only in Judæa, the first source of the evil, but even in Rome, where all things hideous and shameful from every part of the world find their centre and become popular. Accordingly, an arrest was first made of all who pleaded guilty; then, upon their information, an immense multitude was convicted, not so much of the crime of firing the city, as of hatred against mankind...Mockery of every sort was added to their deaths. Covered with the skins of beasts, they were torn by dogs and perished, or were nailed to crosses, or were doomed to the flames and burnt, to serve as a nightly illumination, when daylight had expired. Nero offered his gardens for the spectacle, and was exhibiting a show in the circus, while he mingled with the people in the dress of a charioteer or stood aloft on a car. Hence, even for criminals who deserved extreme and exemplary punishment, there arose a feeling of compassion; for it was not, as it seemed, for the public good, but to glut one man's cruelty, that they were being destroyed."
Another ancient source from a man named Mara Bar-Serapion, who had written to his son while he was being held in a prison, said the following mentioning the wise king of the Jews: "What advantage did the Athenians gain from putting Socrates to death? Famine and plague came upon them as a judgment for their crime. What advantage did the men of Samos gain from burning Pythagoras? In a moment their land was covered with sand. What advantage did the Jews gain from executing their wise King? It was just after that their Kingdom was abolished. God justly avenged these three wise men: the Athenians died of hunger; the Samians were overwhelmed by the sea; the Jews, ruined and driven from their land, live in complete dispersion. But Socrates did not die for good; he lived on in the teaching of Plato. Pythagoras did not die for good; he lived on in the statue of Hera. Nor did the wise King die for good; He lived on in the teaching which He had given." Mara Bar-Serapion, who was Syriac, had been taken captive by the Romans and was sitting in prison when he wrote the above letter to his son. According to Bar-Serapion's passage, Jerusalem did fall in 70 AD and the Hebrews were dispersed. Many were driven from their homeland. Many died in Jerusalem, but many also fled into Africa and Asia.
There are other ancient sources that confirm the existence of the religion (Christianity) that sprang up in the First Century by word of mouth and the fame of the Christos, and then spread throughout the Roman world. There were a lot of Christians in Rome during the reigns of Claudius and Nero. The catacombs in Rome, which were underground tombs, confirm the existence of these Christians that hid themselves from Roman authorities because they were being persecuted.
In short, the New Testament contain historical accounts. Obviously, there are some mistranslations throughout the Bible. There are some injected verses in the Bible, also. Some of those injected verses on slavery were also used to perpetuate the system of institutionalized slavery against African peoples who didn't know how to read the Bible for themselves.
The real biblical Christos was a dark-skinned Hebrew Israelite who was living under Roman oppression during his lifetime. His people were also dark-skinned. His mother. His brothers. The man that taught him. The people that followed him from his original hometown. These dark-skinned Hebrew Israelites didn't just disappear out of history. They are indeed an indestructible people. You can't destroy melanin out of the earth. The original humans were dark. Think about it.
